We are currently looking for a

UK Country Controller

to join us in one of our UK facilities. The Country Controller UK is accountable for the delivery of all finance activities related to the legal entities under her/his scope and is accountable for the quality and accuracy of the company financial statements. This includes finance responsibility for manufacturing, sales distributors and holding entities. The Country Controller UK is the finance interface with Global & Regional Controllers, FP&A and External Authorities (incl. External Auditors). Key responsibilities: Leading local Finance country organization. Responsible for UK (including Irish Branch operations). Ensure that the financial accounting and reporting of the legal entities is compliant with statutory and corporate policies: Compliance with Local and US Accounting Standards UGB & USGAAP; Timely closing and reporting for both local and group accounts, includes preparation and filing of Statutory Accounts; Review of reconciliation process of all accounts; Overall compliance of international transactions (import, export, customs & duties, ...). Implement, maintain and improve accounting and reporting processes and act as a Finance partner for the (local) business teams. Represent the legal entities to external authorities and maintain contacts with local banks, auditors and relevant state institutions. Main contact for internal, external & tax audits. Responsible for assigned internal / SOX controls and acts as the steward of internal controls and governance in all other areas. Preparation & review of accounting entries (JEVs) and reconciliation of relevant accounts. Providing accounting guidance related to all areas of the financial accounting (includes AR, AP, Fixed Assets, Inventory, VAT, ...). Responsible for preparation of Tax Provision Process (GAM). Responsible for country relevant statistical returns and reports. Prepare & participate in shareholder/ Board of Directors meetings and resolutions related to statutory financial statements. Lead & participate in projects, including M&A projects. Prepare and file Tax declarations with support from Axalta Tax. Key requirements: Minimum bachelor’s degree in finance or business administration. Financial and Senior Accounting Experience. Solid experience in a similar position, preferably in a multinational environment. People management experience. Broad Accounting knowledge (US GAAP / FRS, local GAAP). Knowledge of country Legal, Tax and Regulatory Compliance processes for all countries in scope. Be able to build winning teams and champion change. Analytical mind-set. Excellent knowledge of MS Office and SAP. Fluent in English.
