Head of Department - Court of Protection Team A leading law firm in Bristol is seeking an experienced Senior Lawyer to lead its Court of Protection team. This is an exciting opportunity for a legal professional with a passion for Court of Protection work and leadership, offering the chance to influence the team's strategic direction while managing a varied caseload. About the Role As the Court of Protection Team Leader, you will oversee the team's growth, manage strategic planning, and deliver high-quality legal services. Responsibilities include mentoring junior staff, leading business development efforts, and managing a caseload covering Deputyship applications, statutory Wills, welfare cases, and LPAs. You will also act as a professional Deputy and provide expert legal advice across a variety of Court of Protection matters. Strong leadership and proven expertise in Court of Protection work are essential, along with a track record of managing complex cases and teams. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the Court of Protection team. Guide business development and client relationships. Mentor and support junior team members. Manage a diverse caseload, including Deputyship and welfare cases. Act as a professional Deputy and provide expert legal advice.

Ideal Candidate Qualified solicitor or CILEx Professional Qualification (CPQ or equivalent). Extensive experience in Court of Protection work, including Deputyship. Strong leadership and team management skills. Familiarity with Court of Protection billing procedures.

Location and Working Hours Based in Kingswood with hybrid working options. Full-time (9 am - 5:15 pm), part-time considered.
