Immediately Purpose: Deichmann Shoes has an exciting opportunity to join our growing business as a Cover Store Manager, supporting our store in Bury St. Edmunds and other stores in the surrounding area. For this role, the stores you will cover and support include Bury St. Edmunds, Peterborough, Serpentine Green, Ipswich, and additional stores within a reasonable commuting distance. As a Cover Store Manager for Deichmann, you will be offered a competitive salary of

£29,000 per annum . This is a full-time, permanent position, and you must be fully flexible to work throughout the week. Our Cover Managers are our fast track, high-potential managerial talent! After initial training, Cover Managers build their understanding of how Deichmann stores operate by providing managerial cover across a cluster of stores. You must be able to travel within a defined geographical area. Upon completion of training, Cover Managers are ideally positioned for promotion to Store Manager. Key Activities: Motivate and coach the team to deliver excellent customer service. Lead by example in promoting and upselling products. Drafting rotas in line with payroll budgets. Analysis of sales figures and reports. Ensure all company standards are implemented and maintained (e.g., merchandising, administration). Work towards targets and achieve company KPIs. Assist with the recruitment and development of the team. Personal Characteristics: A hands-on leader with experience in retail or a related industry sector. A positive and flexible approach with a can-do attitude. The ability to work under pressure in a demanding, fast-paced environment. The confidence and ability to motivate, coach, and inspire the team. Methodical and organized with a structured approach to work. Candidates with a full UK driving licence are preferred due to the travel involved.
