Cover Supervisor - Secondary School - Lewisham - ASAP or Jan 2025 - competitive daily rate Key Responsibilities: Lead lessons in the absence of the regular teacher. Ensure students remain engaged in their classwork and maintain a positive classroom environment. Support students' learning and development. Handle student behaviour and maintain a productive, respectful, and supportive classroom atmosphere. Supervise pupils during lessons and ensure they are engaged with their work. Provide feedback to teachers regarding students' progress and behaviour. Report any concerns in accordance with child protection and confidentiality policies. Support pupils with a wide range of abilities and encourage their academic success. Ideal Candidate: Good knowledge of the national curriculum for Key Stages 3 and 4. Experience working with young people in an educational setting. Confident in leading and supervising lessons for mixed-ability students. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Able to manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Available immediately and able to commute to Sutton.
