Analyse construction drawings and specifications to identify labour, material, and specialist requirements. Preparation of enquiry documents, sourcing and obtaining material and subcontractor quotations, including final negotiations and placement of sub-contractor orders. Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors regularly to ensure budgets are not exceeded. Complete monthly sub-contractor valuations through to final account. Complete monthly valuations to PQS and record all additional works items. What we're looking for:
Degree in Quantity Surveying / Construction Management or related disciplines. Applicants with HND/HNC or strong construction-related experience will also be considered. Experience in an Estimating / Quantity Surveying role within a Main Contracting organisation for at least 2 years. Articulate, pro-active with excellent commercial acumen and communication skills, comfortable working with minimum supervision. Ability to demonstrate initiative while working in a team environment.
