Protocol Education is looking to recruit a Learning Support Assistant with a creative background to support in a SEND school in Cambridge. This role is designed to foster creativity in the classroom, inspiring and encouraging SEND students. The children you will be supporting have a variety of special needs, including ASD, Social, Emotional, Mental Health needs (SEMH), and complex learning disabilities, or may require behavioural support. You will aid in the daily activities of the classroom and utilize your creative background to uniquely support the SEND children. Providing 1:1 support and creating a positive atmosphere is essential. A friendly and positive approach to teaching and learning, along with the ability to quickly build strong relationships with individual children, is important. The ideal candidate will have: Experience working with SEND or children. Strong interpersonal skills. A passion for education and creating an environment that fosters student improvement. The ability to use your creativity to engage students, improve confidence, and positively influence a fun and supportive learning process. Your experience does not necessarily need to be in a school environment; working or volunteering in youth groups, sports coaching, or after-school clubs is also relevant.
