Vacancies at our Women’s Centres in Cardiff, Swansea or Newport. The Nelson Trust Women’s Centre supports women in a trauma informed approach, who are experiencing multiple and complex needs. We provide a crèche service for children (0-8 years) whilst their mother/carer attends the centre. Are you passionate about supporting women in a holistic, gender responsive, trauma-informed way to achieve long lasting change? Are you flexible, reliable, and able to take initiative? We are looking for an experienced creche leader to help deliver and develop our creche service. You must be confident with lone working. You must be qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Care Learning and Development or equivalent and have a minimum of 1 years post qualifying experience with 0-3 years, with an understanding of a play-based approach to children’s learning and development and a sound knowledge of child development from 0 – 8 years. You should also have excellent communication skills, and the ability to develop effective relationships with colleagues, parents, and external agencies. Due to the nature of the work carried out in our Women’s Centres this role is restricted to female applicants only in accordance with the provisions of the occupational requirement (Equality Act 2010, pursuant to Schedule 9, Part 1).
