Credit Card Technology Leader

to drive the creation and implementation of our new credit card platform from the ground up. This pivotal role will be instrumental in building a comprehensive, secure, and client-focused credit card capability, including the setup and management of the unsecured lending process and associated risk management. As a key player within our Digital & Technology team, you will lead the technology aspects of the credit card platform, positioning Investec as a leader in innovative credit solutions for our clients. Your expertise will help shape the future of our credit card offerings, ensuring they meet the highest standards of security and client satisfaction. What you will be doing

Platform Development : Architect and build a robust, scalable credit card platform tailored to meet the needs of private banking clients, including system design, integration, and deployment. Unsecured Lending Setup : Establish and oversee the unsecured lending process for credit card facilities, ensuring alignment with the bank's credit policies and risk tolerance. Risk and Compliance Management : Implement risk assessment protocols and compliance measures, ensuring all lending activities align with regulatory and industry standards for data security, fraud prevention, and consumer protection. Strategic Roadmap : Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy and roadmap for the credit card platform, aligning with the bank's broader growth and digital transformation goals. Technology Architecture : Design and optimise the credit card system architecture, ensuring seamless integration with other banking systems, scalability, and performance optimisation. Vendor and Partner Management : Select and manage third-party vendors and technology partners for processing, security, and integration needs, ensuring quality and alignment with the bank's objectives. Data-Driven Insights : Collaborate with analytics teams to leverage data for insights into customer behaviour, credit risk, and portfolio performance, informing decisions that enhance client engagement and operational efficiency. Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work with product, compliance, risk management, and customer experience teams to ensure the credit card platform meets business requirements and client expectations. Team Leadership : Build and mentor a high-performing team dedicated to the credit card platform, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and client-centricity. What we are looking for

Experience : Extensive technology management and platform development within credit card services, unsecured lending, or financial services. Proven Track Record : Experience in building or scaling credit card or lending platforms, including unsecured credit, risk management, and compliance. Risk Management Knowledge : Strong understanding of risk management practices for unsecured lending, with a focus on regulatory compliance and fraud prevention. Technical Expertise : Proficiency in payment processing, credit decision engines, and credit card network integration. Agile Methodologies : Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience managing large-scale, cross-functional projects. Problem-Solving Skills : Excellent decision-making abilities, with the capacity to navigate complex regulatory and technical challenges. Communication and Leadership : Exceptional skills to influence and align stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
