Purpose of the Role

The Heidelberg Materials Shared Service Centre (SSC) works alongside the business providing administrative support functions and customer excellence. The Customer Accounts (CA) department is responsible for risk analysis and assessment of customer credit limits, collection of accounts receivable, and proactive management of all aspects of customer accounts.

Key Accountabilities

Providing excellent customer service (internally and externally) using our First Line Support model where implemented.

Processing all transactional activities through the relevant workflow tool.

Ensuring compliance with appropriate processes and controls – supporting the team to keep documentation up to date.

Ensuring effective escalation for non-standard requests or issues.

Accurately working within agreed SLA’s on a right-first-time basis.

Working with high levels of integrity and confidentiality.

Keeping appropriate records to enable correct reporting.

Embracing department and wider SSC initiatives and personal development.

Working as part of a team to work towards targets.

Positively supporting a team and department in change and innovation.

Any other task requested by your team lead or any SSC senior manager.

Requirements

Experience in accounts receivable.

Experience in credit control.

Excellent interpersonal skills – with the drive and flexibility to support others.

Basic Microsoft Office (Excel).

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Additional

Study Support for AAT, CIMA, and CICM.

Training provided.

Education/Qualification

Minimum of a Grade 4+ equivalent to a C at GCSE in Math's and English.
