We are seeking to appoint a credit controller, on a fixed term basis for 12 months.

Salary for this role is dependent on experience. The Credit Controller is responsible for ensuring that cash generation into the business is maximised and that aged debt is minimised each month. They are required to ensure the customer accounts are managed efficiently and payments are received promptly. The ideal candidate will have the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise workload in a target-driven environment. What you'll be doing Resolve customer queries in a timely fashion Work effectively with other departments to ensure the highest levels of customer service are given at all times Actively chase overdue customer accounts via letter and telephone Reduce shortfalls and ensure dunning and late payer process is followed Provide Sales Department with information on late payers and issues that may prevent trading Promote and focus on the company’s direct debit facility, which must be operated to a high standard Process and manage Direct Debit payments Process daily Direct Debit reports and files (Addacs, Auddis and Arrud files) Post and allocate payments received into bank accordingly Carry out credit checks and risk management. Qualifications Previous experience within a Credit Control department, possessing working knowledge of Credit Control procedures Previous use of Direct Debit collections and management ICM qualified or studying toward is preferred Good Microsoft Excel skills and data manipulation A working style of being highly organised and focused with an ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise workload and manage own time effectively Attention to detail and numeracy is essential Excellent communication skills at all levels, both verbally and written, including influencing skills with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
