Hays has partnered with an established company located in Cheltenham who are offering hybrid working. I am looking for a temporary credit controller for 2 months to help their credit team collect debt and maintain relationships with their clients.

Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

Conduct collection activity in line with processes, communicating with agencies and debtors both by email and by phone, ensuring a high level of customer service is maintained at all times. Maintain our clients within the correct payment terms, with escalations made for any debtors significantly or consistently operating outside of payment terms. Identify disputes as early as possible and agree actions to be taken to include raising credit notes in line with procedures. Manage 90-day debt weekly and provide weekly updates to the Credit and Operations Manager together with any invoices that are not payable. Periodic review of sales ledger with clients and regular review of accounts with agency as required. Highlight debtor account for litigation, issue LBA’s and collate paperwork and control debtor litigation. Maintain and apply credit limits. Process and allocate unreconciled and unallocated cash in a timely manner and report weekly on unallocated. Complete debt verification to ensure valid invoicing. Required Skills:

Professional demeanour, positive and flexible attitude, good interpersonal and communication skills and accuracy. Persistence and tenacity, assertiveness without being aggressive, ability to build relationships with clients. Be able to work alone and tackle tasks proactively.
