We are expanding our credit control operation and are looking for a

Credit Controller

to join our dynamic team. As an integral part of our credit control team, you will have ownership for the collection of debts for an agreed list of sales ledger accounts, working to agreed payment terms. You will also be targeted to manage old debt and the continual improvement of reducing our debtor days will be a key part of your role.

As a Credit Controller you will:

Proactively maintain regular contact with customers (verbal and written), as necessary, to manage the level of debt outstanding.

Build relationships with customers, identifying key contacts to ensure quick and consistent cash collection.

Be self-motivated and driven to achieve monthly targets.

Effectively deal with and resolve promptly any queries that arise.

Assist colleagues to ensure targets are met across the wider Credit Control team.

Work under own initiative, prioritising workloads and using efficient time management skills.

Liaise confidently and effectively with all internal colleagues.

Work within company and customer SOP’s and SLA’s.

What you will bring:

Proven experience working within a finance team.

Great communication skills – both verbal and written.

Strong MS Office skills including Excel.

Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.

Ability to work on multiple tasks at one time.

Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.

You might also have:

Knowledge of the Meetings & Events industry.

You should know:

This is a Hybrid role that requires 3 days in a week in our Derby office.

Our standard working hours are 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM with an hour break.

Team monthly bonus scheme is available upon reaching set targets.
