Based in Kingston Upon Hull, my client is an established and respected organisation with an enviable reputation for product quality and service excellence. As part of the continued evolution of the Hull-based finance team, the need has arisen to recruit a high calibre Credit Controller. About the Role

Principal Responsibilities: Responsible for the maintenance of the sales ledger. Responsible for recovering overdue amounts from customers using various communication methods, including taking responsibility for reducing amounts owed and debtor days. Reporting upon financial performance of the credit control function. Help and support customers regarding credit control queries. Processing payments. Responsible for the opening and maintenance of customer accounts, including periodically reviewing customer master data records and credit checking new customers. Deal with all accounts receivable correspondence in a timely and professional manner. Responsible for commencing legal proceedings as/when appropriate. Reporting and commenting on overdue debtors. Production of weekly debtor lists and liaising with branch managers regarding queries and problem customers. Assist with the monthly aged debtor reporting. Assist with audit preparation and carrying out analysis as required. Perform any other reasonable task relevant to a Credit Controller, including, but not limited to, dealing with both internal and external financial queries, and being involved in ad-hoc queries and/or projects. Candidate Profile

You will be an experienced credit controller with a demonstrable track record of debt collection and Sales Ledger administration in your career to date. You will possess a diplomatic hands-on style of credit control with the ability to take responsibility and add value to process and procedural control.
