Social network you want to login/join with: This forward-thinking Liverpool-based company is looking to recruit an experienced Credit Controller on a temporary basis for a period of about 4 months, but with a view to going permanent for the right candidate. Your new role As Sales Ledger Controller, you will play a vital role in our Finance team by managing the sales ledger operation. You will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate invoicing and maintaining an effective credit control system to reduce risk to the business and ensure excellent customer relationships. Oversee the end-to-end sales ledger process, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing and credit notes. Maintain and reconcile customer accounts, ensuring all payments are correctly allocated and discrepancies are resolved promptly. Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to resolve any customer queries related to invoices, payments, or account balances. Credit check any new customers, confirming credit limits. Assist in the preparation of month-end and year-end financial reports, including revenue analysis and aging reports. Support the finance team in ad-hoc projects, audits, and process improvements to enhance the efficiency of sales ledger operations. What you'll need to succeed You must have previous working experience gained from working within a similar role. Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, with the ability to analyze financial data and reconcile accounts. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and interact with customers. High level of integrity and confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information. Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks, while also being a team player. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
