Position:
KEY TASKS: Communicate with internal and external customer queries via phone and email, negotiating successful resolutions when needed Manage collection of older debt by following our credit control procedures Produce and distribute various monthly reports to ensure the company’s compliance with SRA rules and to provide insight to the rest of the business Aid fee earners with their collecting of monies on account Advise fee earners on credit decisions when work should go on stop/hold for overdue payment Manage interest due on overdue debt, posting onto matter ledgers where applicable Identify small write offs and liaise with fee earners and partners Produce client statements when requested Aid the legal cashiering team as and when is needed Requirements:
KEY SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES: 5+ years of experience in a credit control role A strong communicator, comfortable to communicate internally and externally by both phone and email Ability to prioritise workload effectively Basic knowledge of Excel An understanding of Solicitor Accounts Rules preferred but not essential Organised and accurate with good attention to detail Enthusiasm and a “can do” attitude Good time management skills Confidentiality Flexible with a hands-on approach Ability to work under pressure Contribute to a positive working environment, encouraging teamwork, co-operation and collaboration
