BBVA Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) is seeking a Credit Portfolio Manager to join our dynamic and results-driven team. The role focuses on managing and optimizing credit portfolios to drive profitability, ensure capital efficiency, and mitigate risk. This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in shaping the credit strategy while supporting BBVA's mission to deliver best-in-class financial solutions to our global clients. Main Responsabilities Portfolio Management: Manage a segment of the corporate loan portfolio and Project Finance portfolio, ensuring alignment with risk-return objectives.

Actively monitor portfolio performance, identifying emerging risks and recommending remediation actions for underperforming exposures.

Analyze credit exposures and recommend strategies to optimize capital allocation and returns.

Risk Management and Analytics : Conduct regular credit risk analysis on portfolio segments, providing actionable insights on concentrations, sector exposures, and risk trends.

Develop and implement tools to enhance portfolio surveillance and data quality.

Ensure adherence to regulatory and internal policies regarding risk management and capital consumption.

Strategic Distribution : Identify and execute loan distribution strategies, including securitization, syndication, and credit insurance solutions.

Support secondary market activities to improve risk-return profiles.

Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner with internal teams including Risk, Origination, and Finance to align portfolio strategy with the bank’s capital and funding objectives.

Lead initiatives to enhance booking efficiency and data transparency.

Support the development of business intelligence solutions to improve portfolio management decisions.

Regulatory and Compliance Oversight : Ensure compliance with regulatory, operational, and reporting standards in credit portfolio management.

Proactively adapt portfolio strategies to evolving regulatory landscapes.

Key Requirements Education : University degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. Postgraduate qualifications (e.g., CFA, MBA) are a plus.

Experience : At least 5-7 years of experience in Credit Portfolio Management , Risk Management, or Corporate Lending within Corporate and Investment Banking.

Proven track record of analyzing, pricing, and managing credit portfolios.

Skills and Competencies : Strong analytical skills with experience in financial modeling and credit risk analysis.

In-depth knowledge of corporate loan markets, capital optimization strategies, and risk-return dynamics.

Fluent in English - Spanish is a plus.

Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g., Basel III, IFRS 9) impacting credit portfolios.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI) is highly valued.
