In this role, you will be responsible for analysing the creditworthiness of new and existing counterparties and their KYC (Know Your Customer) status. You will recommend counterparty credit limits and maintain all relevant information in our Credit database. Additionally, you will collaborate with Commercial teams to mitigate risks and ensure secure business relations. Analyse and assess counterparties’ credit worthiness, primarily through analysis of their financial statements and prepare written Credit Approval Requests on a regular basis and continuous monitoring of counterparty status. Collaborate with and support commercial teams to understand and estimate resulting risk from business relationships. Recommend appropriate credit rating, mitigation measures (like cash deposit, group or bank guarantees, or insurance), required credit limit and approve the limits in accordance to the received mandates. Create and prepare periodic and ad-hoc Credit Risk reports and monitor limit utilisation, working proactively to mitigate potential limit breaches and ensure transparent reporting to key stakeholders. Perform ‘Know Your Customer’ (KYC) assessments under the company’s established assessment process, in order to recommend an appropriate KYC status. Regular renewal and continuous monitoring of counterparty’s KYC status. Interact and collaborate with other support functions (mainly Risk internal, Treasury, Legal, Product Control) to assess and mitigate credit risk. Provide support in the execution of projects within the risk function requiring coordination with external and internal stakeholders. WHAT YOU WILL BRING

Proven experience in a credit or finance role within an energy company, bank, or rating agency. Familiarity with energy/commodity trading markets, particularly natural gas, power, oil, or LNG, is advantageous. Comprehensive understanding of Credit Risk Management practices and frameworks. Strong analytical skills with the capability to assess complex problems, produce precise credit analysis documents, and deliver solutions within tight deadlines. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. Reliable in utilizing provided mandates to make credit decisions and handle counterparties effectively. ABOUT US
