Location : Reading Overview: One of our prestigious clients is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Credit professional with a Commercial Finance background. This role involves assessing and approving credit applications for a variety of asset finance transactions while ensuring compliance with company policies and risk management guidelines. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to make sound credit decisions efficiently. Key Responsibilities: Evaluate creditworthiness of applicants by analyzing financial statements, credit reports, and other supporting documentation. Assess risks associated with lending decisions, including market, asset, and customer risks. Approve or recommend applications within delegated authority levels. Monitor existing credit facilities to ensure compliance with terms and conditions. Identify and address potential risks in the portfolio, recommending adjustments as necessary. Work closely with sales, operations, and risk teams to structure transactions that align with business objectives. Maintain effective communication with brokers, vendors, and clients to address inquiries and ensure smooth transaction processing. Ensure all underwriting decisions comply with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Keep updated on changes in regulations, industry trends, and market conditions. Prepare clear and concise credit reports to support decision-making. Maintain accurate records of all underwriting activities. Key Qualifications: Proven experience in credit underwriting within the asset finance or related financial services sector. Strong understanding of asset finance flow processes, products, and market dynamics. Proficiency in financial analysis, risk assessment, and credit decision-making. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines. Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements in the asset finance industry. Skills and Competencies: Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Proficiency in relevant software tools, including credit assessment platforms and Microsoft Office Suite. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Title:
