About you At least 5 years credit underwriting experience Knowledge of the commercial asset finance market and asset finance products Attention to detail, excellent numeracy, excellent written and verbal communication Commerciality - you must be able to see a good deal from a bad one and put your rationale across Ability to read and interpret credit-checks, small business financials and bank statements and draw educated conclusions from same Confidence and willingness to make decisions and recommendations based on your own views of a proposal We are a fast paced business and ability to take on a task and deliver an efficient turn-around is important What you'll do As a Credit Underwriter your responsibilities will include: Assessing broker and dealer introduced commercial credit applications Handling dealer and direct credit applications over the phone and by email Speaking with clients on the phone and proactively asking relevant questions Liaising with brokers and dealers on the phone and by email Conducting and assessing credit searches Assessing financial statements and bank statements Preparing, investigating, recommending and decisioning applications Working alongside and guiding less experienced underwriters Managing cases proactively from approval through to documentation For further information on this vacancy, or any other Accountancy & Finance job in Belfast or Northern Ireland, apply via the link below or contact Jamie Gault for a confidential chat today.
