As a Business Development Chef, you will work with customers and suppliers on product innovation and presentation, keeping informed with current food trends and up to date with market sectors we operate in. You will contribute to achieving key projects including events, and innovation days that will drive new and existing business growth and margin improvement. Some responsibilities of the role include: Demonstrate a positive, customer-focused, and professional approach. Contribute to a diverse, inclusive, solutions-oriented, and customer service focused culture. Share ideas and develop new ways of working to improve company performance and employee engagement. Demonstrate professionalism and deliver an awesome customer experience to both internal and external customers. Present a wide variety of relevant products internally and to customers from all sectors, utilizing all Creed venues and customer locations. Develop menus, recipes, and costings for customers using Creed products. Work on bespoke lines for individual customer needs, e.g., price point and flavor profile. Support customers with chef workshops and mini trade shows. Provide lunches for key and potential customers. Product testing and benchmarking with suppliers and internally for commercial benefits. Visit supplier manufacturing sites to understand restrictions and gain a better understanding of the potential. Present products internally and support improved product knowledge. Support the sales team with site visits and work on site with customers to help understand skill sets and restrictions, to streamline and tailor potential offerings. Produce tasting notes for product presentations. Order samples, and proactively manage the samples pallet. Maintain presentation equipment at all Creed venues. Understand market insights and review trade trends. Support in-house events e.g. Director events, charity fundraising BBQs, buffets and lunches. Promote Creed Foodservice at both in-house and industry events and shows. Ensure Food Hygiene legislation is adhered to. Demonstrate commitment to and support our Environmental, Social and Governance goals in how daily tasks and responsibilities are carried out. Actively promote a food safety culture through sharing knowledge and expertise. Share and promote best practice and adherence to Cyber essentials standards. Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements. To disclose any evidence of product safety, legality, quality, or integrity issues. To report all accidents and promote best practices in Health and Safety and contribute to ensuring a safe working environment for all employees, workers, and visitors on site. The Ideal Candidate

Strong IT and administration skills, numeracy, and a good level of English. Customer service focus, excellent communication, interpersonal, relationship building, and stakeholder management skills. An action-oriented individual, who is solutions focused, can manage multiple priorities, and deliver results on time. A good team player, with attention to detail and good problem-solving skills that follows processes in place and prioritizes business improvement. Experience working as a chef and strong culinary skills. Think on your feet and adapt swiftly to changing circumstances. Proactive problem-solving in response to unforeseen challenges and decisions. Comfortable with ambiguity and maintaining composure in varying situations. Efficiently navigate yourself within a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Excellent organizational skills. Good understanding of current and upcoming legislation and knowledge of other challenges faced by chefs within commercial kitchens across the sectors that we operate within. Strong personal presentation skills. Open-minded to a wide range of products and customers. Full UK driving licence. Experience working as a chef in multiple sectors and across various cuisines. Experience working within the Foodservice sector, or other similar operation.
