ROLE: Crime Solicitor LOCATION: Liverpool SALARY: Up to £55k DOE Our Client Due to a period of rapid expansion, an exciting and unique opportunity has arisen for a Solicitor in a specialist motoring law firm in the heart of Liverpool. Joining the practice’s highly regarded motoring law team, the successful candidate will work closely with the senior members of the department and run a busy case load of all motoring matters from instruction to conclusion. Responsibilities Working on all types of motoring offences from speeding to drug or drink driving to dangerous driving. File management Preparing client letters Drafting statements Preparing briefs for counsel Liaising with clients in person and over the telephone Instructing experts Local advocacy The Candidate Applications are especially welcomed from Solicitors with criminal law experience. This is desirable but not essential. Demonstrates excellent communication skills and is able to explain complex matters in clear, accessible language. Works well as part of a team as well as on your own initiative. Highly organised, able to work well when under pressure to meet tight deadlines. Personable, professional, and client-focused. Recognises the needs of private paying clients.
