This expanding Law firm based in Brighton/Hove/Worthing, East Sussex is looking to recruit a Criminal Duty Solicitor to join their expanding team. Candidates will need a pro-active approach and be client-focused, with a flexible attitude to their work. The role will include court work, advocacy, and advising clients at the police station. You will also be expected to optimise opportunities for developing client relationships and manage your own caseload efficiently, as well as prioritising the workload of the support staff.
As a duty solicitor, you will be part of the out of hours rota for attending police stations and supporting in the preparation for crown court when needed. The firm is also looking for candidates who, if they haven't already, are interested in obtaining the Higher Rights of Audience accreditation, as this is something the firm would offer as an opportunity once your probationary period has been completed.
