Our client is seeking a Critical Electrical Shift Leader to join their Critical Banking Team, overseeing electrical PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) and reactive maintenance, along with general building services. You'll be offered a competitive £56,000 salary, with a clear path for progression, overtime opportunities, pension, and long-term career stability.

As the Electrical HV Shift Leader, you'll be responsible for leading a team of skilled technicians while ensuring the safe and efficient operation of high voltage (HV) systems. Your leadership is crucial in maintaining the highest standards of safety, performance, and reliability within critical plant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership:

Supervise and guide the electrical maintenance team, ensuring all tasks are carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with company standards. HV Operations:

Manage and perform HV electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair tasks. Safety Compliance:

Ensure your team adheres to safety regulations and industry standards, particularly in relation to HV systems and procedures. Preventive Maintenance:

Oversee and participate in the execution of preventive maintenance for HV equipment, helping to minimize downtime and enhance system reliability. Emergency Response:

Serve as the primary point of contact during electrical emergencies, coordinating efforts to resolve issues quickly and safely. Training and Development:

Mentor your team, keeping them updated on the latest industry practices and safety protocols. Reporting:

Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, incidents, and equipment performance, providing regular shift reports to management. Continuous Improvement:

Identify and implement opportunities for operational improvements, boosting efficiency and reducing costs.

Candidate Requirements: HV Authorised Person (Experienced with HV Systems) C&G Pts. 1 & 2, equivalent or higher. 17th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations (must be able to attain 18th Edition through training) Experience in a banking/data centre/critical environment is a plus Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and direct a small team Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining clarity and focus Willingness to participate in on-site and off-site training
