Are you an experienced senior marketing leader looking for an interim role in the higher education sector?

The University is seeking a Director of Marketing & Recruitment to join us on an interim basis to play a crucial role in leading our marketing and student recruitment functions over the coming months.

You will be a strategic thinker and able to demonstrate recent success in leading marketing, outreach, student recruitment and admissions activities, along with an understanding of the higher education sector and its current challenges.

This interim post is for nine months initially during which your priorities will include optimising conversion activity for the current recruitment cycle in collaboration with academic schools and preparing for next year's cycle.

As interim Director of Marketing & Recruitment, you can expect to get involved in:

Providing strategic leadership, management, advice and decision making in the areas of student recruitment and marketing, including policy, operations and resources.

Engaging with major external stakeholders to market the University as a first choice option and enhancing its reputation and profile in the UK and internationally.

Analysing data and metrics, monitoring performance indicators, driving continuous improvement and directing teams to deliver on University targets and objectives.

You will need to be immediately available, or able to start imminently following interview.

What you will be able to bring to the role:

A degree and postgraduate qualification in marketing or a relevant qualification or equivalent experience.

A proven track record in successful student recruitment.

Knowledge of the challenges and strategic issues facing higher education.

What we can offer in return:

At Kent, you can expect a friendly, open and collaborative working environment and support in your development and wellbeing. You'll enjoy a range of great staff benefits including:

Hybrid working options allowing a flexible blend of office and home working (to be agreed in line with business needs).

43 days' leave per year (personal leave, bank holidays and additional days allocated for the Christmas period, pro rata for part-time staff).

Corporate employee-funded healthcare plan, in partnership with Benenden Health.

This is an exciting opportunity to deliver on our marketing and recruitment aims during a period of transformation for the University.
