What will you be doing? Co-operation is central to making sure our stores thrive in their communities. At the very heart of great teamwork are great leaders: people like you that support, develop and manage an exceptional team of human beings. With great leadership comes great responsibility. As a role model of the behaviours and expected standards you want to see in your teams, you'll help to communicate ways of working for new colleagues and provide them with the growth to be brilliant. You'll also go above and beyond to provide every customer with the best experience, at any time they need it. Working closely as part of the management team, you'll support the day to day running of the store, taking responsibility for maintaining legal procedures and standards, whilst ensuring the safety and security of our colleagues and customers. How will I know if I am right for this role? We're looking for aspiring leaders that work with enthusiasm, pace and initiative. We want people who can take ownership of their development, with an ability to identify and grow great talent within their team through development and coaching. Being open-minded and curious, you'll be aware of current and future promotions. You'll identify opportunities for growth, offering suggestions that may benefit the total store operation focused on delivery and commercial success. As a warm and friendly team member, your love for talking with our customers will flow naturally into your passion for delivering exceptional service every day. Through respect, support and empathy to others, you'll build relationships that create a foundation for getting things done. You'll guide your team as you work together to support future progress within the store. You will make a difference in your community and will ignite passion to deliver a more informed, motivated and engaged team. Who are we? As a progressive Co-operative Society, we want the people in our communities to thrive, for generations to come. Our people are the energy behind this positive change. We’re looking for like-minded people who want to support our communities and to know the needs of the people who live in them, to help us reach our goal of creating a sustainable society for all.
