Our operation in Liverpool is looking for a proactive Customs Compliance & Training Specialist to join the team. This hybrid role will see you working Monday to Friday - 09:00-17:30. WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Reporting into the National Customs Compliance Manager, you will maintain compliance and auditing processes to ensure control and efficiencies. You will identify issues and risks embedding corrective actions and work closely with local teams ensuring they deliver accurate completion of all import and export declarations, transit movements, and are adhering to the direct representation procedures. You will be a dedicated Compliance Account Manager for our top customers. You will assist the Customs Compliance Team Manager to ensure all customer needs are met or exceeded, within our compliance controls and highlight compliance or control issues or risk. You will identify waste in processes, continuously driving and delivering improvements which will positively impact productivity levels, support in growth activities, and actively participate in creating innovative solutions, sharing best practice and knowledge. You will collate, analyse and present data reports to management, customers, and internal stakeholders in relation to customs compliance, ensure work procedures are reviewed regularly and build excellent working relationships with customers and internal stakeholders. You will also be responsible for training the customs teams and preparing the materials for the training. WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
It is essential you have previous experience in HM Revenue & Customs, knowledge of customs procedures, regulations, multiple entry types and systems with the ability to demonstrate continuous improvement within these areas. You will be experienced at building and developing exceptional internal and external relationships, possess leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop others, and be a skilled decision maker and influencer who is able to interact and engage with colleagues at all levels. You will possess excellent communication skills, have a keen eye for detail, and experience in report writing and statistical investigative skills are also key requirements for this role.
