Further information: A PA is required who has a good understanding of SEN needs, to support a 14-year-old girl with learning disabilities. The PA would need to access social activities at home and in the community with the young girl. The young girl needs to use a wheelchair when on outings; the ideal PA would be a car driver.
The main duties would be to provide companionship for this young girl who enjoys being outdoors and going to the park. The young lady likes to go swimming and to the cinema. When at home, a PA would support the young girl in the kitchen with baking, which she enjoys doing. There will be some continence care and personal care in this role.
A PA would need to be kind and provide companionship and support for this young person to enjoy activities and outings.
