Cyber Security Engineer - Ellesmere Port (Hybrid x2 a week) Are you a skilled and passionate Cyber Security Engineer looking for a challenging role within a global organisation? We are seeking a talented individual to join our client's team on a hybrid basis, with a requirement to be on-site in Ellesmere Port two days a week. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the protection of critical systems and data, working on a diverse range of security initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Cyber Incident Management:

Lead incident response, conduct threat analysis, update runbooks, and liaise with the Security Operations Centre. Cyber Security Operations:

Assist in delivering and maintaining security services, monitor security queues, provide vulnerability and KPI reporting, manage penetration testing, and work with IT teams to resolve vulnerabilities. Cyber Security Risk Management:

Maintain the cyber security risk register, ensure compliance with policies and standards, identify and assess new risks, prioritise remediation, and conduct supplier security assessments. Security Design:

Assess IT designs for security risks, define security standards, develop security requirements, and promote security principles. Security Awareness Training:

Manage the security awareness platform, report training KPIs, schedule phishing tests, and follow up on non-compliance. Essential Skills and Experience: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex technical issues and identify viable solutions. Proficiency in interrogating systems using PowerShell and KQL. Solid understanding of security concepts and the ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience in reviewing and assessing risk within system designs using industry best practices. Ability to advise on risk impact and tolerance, and describe different risk methodologies. Knowledge of hybrid cloud architectures and the impact of vulnerabilities on systems. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Defender services. Thorough understanding of cyber incident management processes and experience leading incident response. Experience with threat hunting. One or more of the following qualifications: ISACA Cybersecurity Fundamentals Certificate, CompTIA Security+, GIAC Information Security Fundamentals (GISF), (ISC)² Associate. Desired Skills and Qualifications: Cyber Security Undergraduate Degree/Apprenticeship. Other relevant cyber security qualifications. Why Apply? Competitive salary of up to £60,000.
