Cyber Security Engineer focuses on maintain, troubleshoot security tools such as siem, edr, dlp, vm, threat intel,pam etc extending to cloud toolsets.

What the role involves

  • Maintain, troubleshoot security tools such as SIEM, EDR, DLP, VM, Threat Intel,PAM etc extending to Cloud toolsets.
  • Perform assessments to understand the current and potential security gaps.
  • Use monitoring tools to detect and anomalies and suspicious activity, extending to forensic tools.
  • Review scope of pen tests and facilitate access and set up of pen test from technical perspective.
  • This is a full-time role based in our Glasgow office with hybrid working, on an initial 12 month fixed term basis.

Skills and requirements

  • Relevant technical, electrical, mechanical, maintenance, gas, plumbing, or engineering experience may be required.

Candidate fit

  • Relevant experience in Cybersecurity and/or IT.
  • Experience in metric reporting and KPI/SLA management.
  • Managing escalations to a satisfactory outcome.
