The Cytologist (CT) performs duties involving the preparation, processing, screening, interpretation, and correlation of all cytological specimens. The CT assists with fine needle aspirates. The CT participates in educational and training activities and may participate in routine administrative and non-routine technical functions.
Minimum Requirements
Required - Registered Cytologist or eligible for registration by possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Cytotechnology.
The Cytologist generally works days Monday to Friday and is expected to work overtime and/or weekends in times of staffing shortages, emergencies, and unexpected increases in workload.
