Greenacre are pleased to be supporting a social housing provider in South West London with their recruitment of a Damp, Mould and Disrepair Surveyor. The ideal candidate will be able to contribute to the successful delivery and completion of damp, mould, disrepair works and hold an accredited qualification with either the Royal Institution for Chartered Surveyors or the Chartered Institute of Building. What will you do in the role? Project manage damp, mould and disrepair works from inception through to completion including diagnosing, specifying, procuring, and monitoring. Identify effective solutions for managing and reducing the causes of damp and mould, including building repairs, installing mechanical ventilation and humidity control systems, and providing clear advice to residents. Undertake contractor administration duties including reviewing Bills of Quantities, Schedules of Works, Specifications, and all contract documentation, ensuring compliance with the project brief, timescales, budget estimates, legislation, health and safety regulations, and policies. Manage contractors, carrying out and overseeing the quality inspection process of works, including pre-start scoping, work in progress quality inspections, and post-inspection sign-offs. Maintain CRM and systems recording progress of the works to ensure accurate and up-to-date information, providing regular project updates to the senior management team. Certify contractor valuations and claims within this role’s delegated authority limits, including interim and final account payment. Work closely with the Resident Liaison Officer to ensure customers are informed of progress at all stages, providing an excellent customer experience and high levels of customer satisfaction. Who would excel in this role? A good communicator that is customer-focused, maintains effective relationships, and is able to prioritize effectively to meet deadlines. Excellent organizational skills to work within time constraints while ensuring adherence to policies and procedures. Ability to use remote technology and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. A minimum of two years’ experience in delivering stock investment/major works to social housing or private residential housing. Experience managing suppliers through long-term contracts, including JCT Measured Term contracts or similar. A proven track record of delivering excellent customer experience and satisfaction through stock investment works.
