Job Description

A leading Private Fertility Clinic with multiple locations across the UK is looking to recruit a Senior Fertility Nurse. Salary: Competitive Based in Cardiff or Swansea. Responsibilities

Practice in accordance with the current NMC Code of Conduct, ensuring patient safety and well-being at all times. Possess a working knowledge of patients' drug regimes and treatment plans, prescribing medications as needed. Responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individual patient care needs. Provide information to all patients prior to treatment and through ongoing care to aid informed consent, ensuring access to a Fertility Counsellor as required. Perform ultrasound scanning of all fertility patients, including diagnostic scans and administration of relevant drugs, teaching patients to self-administer where appropriate. Assist in clinical procedures such as Oocyte retrievals, Embryo transfers, IUI, Hycosy, and Endometrial scratch/biopsy. Provide Phlebotomy services for specimen collection, labelling, and despatching to the outside laboratory as per current Clinic SOPs. Train junior nursing staff to facilitate their skills development in fertility services, treatment planning, and ultrasonography. Ensure all offered treatment, advice, treatment cycles, and outcomes are recorded in line with current HFEA guidelines and SOPs. Participate in a weekend and out-of-hours roster. Oversee the smooth running of all nursing duties in the absence of the Nurse Manager. Job Knowledge

Relevant JDH forms, SOPs, and information, HFEA Code of Practice 9th Edition. Implement the ambassadorial aspect of the post. Computer literate in relevant databases (e.g., IDEAS, enquiry tracker, iMatch). Core Knowledge

Emergency situation SOPs. Confidentiality requirements. Human Resources requirements. Health and Safety procedures, including Manual Handling, Fire, and Infection Control. Competent in Intermediate Life Support (ILS). Quality Management System requirements. Computer literate in Microsoft Office packages (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, and Explorer).
