As the Data & AI Governance Lead, you will: Design, implement, and manage a

DAMA-aligned Data & AI Governance Framework

tailored to our evolving needs. Establish and maintain

Data Ownership, Stewardship , and a

Governance Forum

that operates effectively across the group. Develop policies, standards, and processes to embed robust data governance practices into all areas of our business. Oversee data risks, ensuring alignment with SBS’s risk policies and the rollout of key controls. Build and manage a

business-focused data quality service

and a

comprehensive data catalogue . Drive cultural transformation by delivering a data governance change plan, challenging the status quo, and advocating for best practices. Collaborate with key stakeholders, including Legal and Product teams, to ensure compliance with regulations like GDPR and the AI Act. Lead and develop a high-performing team of data governance and quality specialists. Qualifications

What are we looking for? Proven expertise in designing and implementing

Data Governance Frameworks

in complex organisations. Deep knowledge of the

DAMA framework

and its practical application. Strong technical acumen, including

SQL skills

and familiarity with data governance technologies. Exceptional

stakeholder management

and communication abilities, with a talent for influencing and driving change. Over 10 years of experience in

Data Governance

delivery and risk management, ideally within financial services. Self-motivation, a passion for learning, and the ability to thrive without direct supervision. Financial services industry experience. Relevant degree or professional certifications. Membership in industry bodies and an established professional network. Ready to make an impact?
