Hightown is a charitable housing association operating principally in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire. We believe everyone should have a home and the support they need, so our aim is to build new homes and to provide excellent housing and support.
We currently manage over 9,000 homes and employ over 1100 Permanent and Bank staff in our Care and Supported Housing Schemes and from our head office in Hemel Hempstead. We have an annual turnover of £121 million and a development programme that will deliver over 350 new affordable homes each year.
About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Analyst to join our Business Support Team. This is an opportunity to join a fast-paced team, playing a crucial role in data intelligence and reporting across Hightown. Driving insights that shape strategic decision-making across the organisation.
The role will provide research and analytical advice across the organisation to meet internal and external requirements, as well as provide quality assurance of data and performance information to ensure accuracy and integrity of data.
This is an exciting time for the organisation as we are in the process of developing a new data strategy. Once implemented, it will ensure alignment across the organisation in how we manage and work with data.
Working closely with the Data Analytics Manager & the Head of Business Support, the Data Analyst will be responsible for processing, analysing, and interpreting data related to the company's performance and operation procedures. This role involves ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and usability of data to support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency. You will play a key role in developing visualisations and reports using SSRS and PowerBI, collaborating with stakeholders across the business to understand project requirements and enhancing data literacy across the business.
It is desirable that the successful candidate has experience or knowledge of the housing sector, or similar regulated service.
To apply for this role you will need to have the following:
Proficiency in SQL for data querying
Experience with PowerBI and/or SSRS for data visualisation
Ability to perform business analysis and translate requirements into technical solutions
Familiarity with Visio, VBA, and business analysis concepts
Experience in project management is desirable
Excellent communication and customer care skills
Ability to work independently
