Position Summary: This position requires the analysis of data recorded by Entegra’s MFL/Caliper/IMU in-line inspection (ILI) tools, correlation to verification measurements, and final report generation. A successful candidate will be self-driven, with an analytical background and have a demonstrable ability to learn proprietary software and technical concepts quickly. Responsibilities: Perform preliminary IMU data quality assessments. Process and interpret IMU bench test datasets for acceptance. Process tool’s IMU data in conjunction with GPS tie-points to generate accurate pipeline mapping. Analyze pipeline bending strain profiles to discern intentional from unintended pipeline movement. Interpret MFL and Geometry pipeline inspection data to detect and identify defect locations and size. Correlate analysis results from previous inspection data. Organize and produce reports of data analysis as per client requirements. Effectively communicate with clients via telephone, email or in person. Communicate analysis findings and provide support for excavations and NDE. Work in a team environment collaborating and sharing knowledge and experiences. Operational Excellence: Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, consistently working towards the achievement of individual and team goals. Additional Duties: Perform all other duties as assigned. Requirements: Degree or diploma in Geomatics Engineering, technical discipline; or equivalent experience. Preference given to post-secondary education/experience in inertial navigation, GPS, map projections and geodesy. Experience and/or training in non-destructive evaluation (NDE) is an asset. Previous work with axial MFL, Caliper and Inertial analysis is an asset. Knowledge of pipeline safety and compliance regulations (API1163, NACE, PHMSA) is an asset. Self-driven. Ability to work diligently with minimal supervision. Strong computer skills (MS Office suite of applications). Ability to complete tasks fully in a timely and quality manner. Ability to maintain quality of work and efficiency during busy times. Strong analytical and interpretive skills. Ability to evaluate and prioritize tasks. Ability to maintain concentration throughout the workday. Strong social skills for communicating with co-workers and clients. Professional personal presentation.
