Contract (6 Month Initially) About the Role SPG is assisting one of our clients in the financial data and credit management sector to find a data analyst who can aid with large-scale data management. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team as a Data Analyst, where you’ll play a pivotal role in integrating, cleansing, and analysing data following a recent team expansion. Your work will directly support the development of robust analytics and reporting functions. Key Responsibilities: Data Integration: Collaborate on integrating systems post-acquisition, addressing data recording, integrity, mapping, and transformation challenges. Data Cleaning and Transformation: Investigate third-party data sources, cleanse inconsistencies, and reconcile erroneous datasets. Analytics and Reporting: Build and enhance Management Information (MI) reporting capabilities, analyse historical data issues, and create data summaries for key stakeholders. Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in current workflows, propose automation opportunities, and implement solutions to enhance data processes. Skills: Proficiency in SQL Server and strong SQL coding expertise. Experience with Python for automation and data processing. Advanced skills in Excel for data manipulation. Understanding of data models and familiarity with Azure database solutions. Experience with Power BI for data visualisation and reporting. Background in financial data, enabling a strong grasp of domain-specific challenges. Soft Skills: Innovative thinker with the ability to manage stakeholders effectively. Excellent communication and data literacy skills. A self-starter who can work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
