Job Summary The Data and Analytics Senior Manager will be responsible for the development of NIHR Research Delivery Network (RDN) strategic programmes regarding Data and Analytics, underpinned by operational oversight of activities within this function. This role leads the East of England Regional RDN (EoE RRDN) Data and Analytics team, which forms part of the national Data and Analytics unit, who collectively work to deliver national projects alongside regional priorities and innovation. The NIHR RDN will build on the successes of the NIHR Clinical Research Network supporting funded research across the health and care system for the benefit of patients and the health and care system. The NIHR RDN is a new organisation with new structures, governance and ways of working. The EoE RRDN is hosted by the Norfolk and Norwich Hospitals NHS Trust and covers the East of England footprint. We promote flexible working options and operate a hybrid working policy with a minimum of 1 day expected to be site based per week. Your base will be Norwich or Cambridge subject to discussion with travel expected across all regional sites and to national meetings. Main duties of the job You will have the opportunity to contribute to a national, multi-year Data & Analytics strategy and be responsible for its implementation across the East of England RRDN. You will be responsible for the day to day operations of the East of England RRDN Data & Analytics Function and manage the Data & Analytics team. Whilst also representing the RRDN at the national Data & Analytics forum. You will have the opportunity to lead and contribute to a range of local and national projects involving internal and external stakeholders and subject matter experts. Be responsible for contributing to a national, multi-year Data and Analytics strategy and managing its implementation across the RRDN, ensuring that the plan to implement the strategy within the region aligns to and complements the national strategy and is approved by the RRDN leadership team. Work with the RRDN Strategic Development Director and national Data and Analytics forum to develop strategies, knowledge and information needed to support senior managers in making informed strategic decisions. Be able to take a long-term view of the Data and Analytics needs of the Network. Be responsible for the development and provision of reporting and digital solutions across the RRDN, working collaboratively with RRDN research Delivery Organisations and RDN services and functions to understand their requirements. Lead on Data and Analytics projects across the RRDN geography. Lead on and/or provide Data and Analytics expertise for national projects, including representing the RRDN at the national Data and Analytics forum. Within this capacity the postholder will be responsible for leading on projects with a national remit. Contribute to national initiatives underpinning the continued development of the RDN, including NIHR Data and Technology (DDaT) initiatives and providing information to support the NIHR Technical Design Authority. Person Specification Qualifications

Masters level qualification or equivalent experience. Experience

An understanding of and experience with using Agile concepts/methodology. Significant experience with and knowledge of solutions for data visualisation and analytics. Able to use judgement and apply complex analysis with an understanding of relationships within data that lead to business intelligence insights and efficiency increases. Skills

Ability to prioritise competing demands, and to balance project development requirements with day-to-day operational needs. Ability to make immediate decisions regarding complex issues whilst providing high quality service and outputs to stakeholders. Attitude, aptitude
