We are looking for passionate individuals who are keen to find ways to use data to make a positive difference in the world around us. In this role, you will lead the design and delivery of data management, data modelling, and data architecture projects and capabilities. You will act as a subject matter expert, consultant, and analyst, delivering innovative solutions that meet our clients’ needs. You will support and advise on business development activities relating to data projects through the development of proposals. You will have the opportunity to define and develop ownership of a specific area of expertise within the team. You will help Arup and client teams to articulate data opportunities by building a network, attending or speaking at conferences, and contributing to thought leadership publications. Responsibilities: Lead and support the delivery of data management, data modelling, and data architecture projects and capabilities. Act as a subject matter expert, consultant, and analyst, delivering innovative solutions that meet our clients' needs. Lead, support, and advise on business development activities related to data projects by developing proposals and pitch materials. Develop relationships and serve as a point of contact for data both internally at Arup and for our clients. Collaborate with the team to advise on and implement data management and data architecture capabilities. Be an innovator in the built environment by enabling Arup and client teams to understand the opportunities for data capabilities. Shape how we combine our domain and data expertise to enable Arup and the organizations we work with to use data to achieve their business and sustainability goals. Is this role right for you? We’re looking for a candidate who has: A degree qualification in a subject related to engineering, computer science, data science/analytics, business, geography, or another quantitative analytical field, or equivalent work experience. Proven experience in leading the delivery of data-related services for stakeholders, either within an organization or in a consultancy capacity. Expertise in data management techniques, including but not limited to data models, information specifications, data architectures, knowledge management, taxonomies/ontologies, and other related artifacts. A strong enthusiasm for the built and natural environment, with experience in the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of built environment assets. In-depth awareness of the opportunities and challenges associated with enabling public sector organizations to realize the value of their data. The ability to identify client, end-user, or other stakeholder needs and translate them into meaningful data architecture artifacts. A keen interest in expanding knowledge and understanding across multiple sectors, including transport, energy, water, and cities, with a focus on supporting the transition to net zero.
