Data Architect - London - 68,000 My client is a large professional body who are working on an exciting new opportunity for a Data Architect to join the team. This role would be well suited to an experienced Data Engineer who is looking to take their next step in their career towards Data Architecture. In this role, you would take the lead on all architecture and engineering projects with the goal of optimizing the organization's data infrastructure with a focus on data, AI, and reporting. You will lead on data modeling and data warehousing efforts internally and help to create a scalable data solution within Azure. A big part of the role will be working with stakeholders to understand their insight requirements and ensure the reporting function has access to the relevant data for them to create visualizations. There is a huge focus internally on the use of Data Science, AI, and Machine Learning, and this role will play a vital role in this product roadmap. The business is using their data to understand customer behaviors, in order to make predictions on future business and to identify areas for future growth. This is a new role in the business and is a key position within a growing tech function. Some of the responsibilities for the role include: Design and develop the internal data infrastructure including the data warehouse, data stores, and data marts. Design a cloud-based solution suitable for the use of AI and big data. Collaborate with stakeholders to align data architectural requirements to business goals. Monitor data pipeline performance and address performance issues. Act as technical lead for the team and provide guidance to team members. To be successful in this role, you will have: Familiarity with data architectural principles. Technical experience with Azure tech stack such as Data Factory, Azure Data Lakes, and Synapse Analytics. Strong data modeling and data warehousing experience. Experience building relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. This is a role where you will be required to work from the client's London office up to twice per week with the rest of the time working remotely. The role is offering a starting salary of up to 68,000 depending on experience plus benefits package. This is just a brief overview of the role.
