Job Purpose

The Group Data Architect will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing a forward-looking data architecture strategy, harnessing the power of cloud technologies to bolster business intelligence, data analytics, reporting, and decision-making. In partnership with other Group Architects, maintain and govern the integrity of the Enterprise Architecture aligned to the overall strategic direction of the business. Please note that we are ideally looking for someone who is business focused with experience leading / delivering a Data Strategy (less hands-on) Job Overview

Key Responsibilities Define data architecture and governance policies and principles, and the assurance processes to monitor compliance Help business stakeholders and project teams understand the value of Data Architecture and what they need to do to make it sustainable in the long term Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models for business solutions, data dictionaries, and data governance frameworks Develop and govern the Enterprise Reference and Master Data Management standards Lead cross-functional Data design workshops to identify best-in-class solutions Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive data solutions that are scalable, secure, and dependable Promote the value and benefits of Data Architecture to make it sustainable in the long term Partner with “Data & Analytics” and GRC teams to uphold data integrity, security, and compliance Skills & Experience Experience leading / delivering a Data Strategy Proven experience as a Data Architect or similar role Demonstrable expertise in creating and implementing strategies that enhance data accessibility, insights, and analytics Expertise in delivering data architecture across Customer Data Platform’s, Master Data Management (MDM), Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, Operational Data Stores, and in-memory databases Familiarity with patterns, practices, and frameworks of data architecture Proficiency in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure), Big Data technologies and both relational and NoSQL databases Must have good people skills to lead groups and negotiate and build consensus Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) certification or similar is desirable.
