The postholder will be expected to: Work in accordance with information governance and data security best practice, rules and regulations. Carry out duties and responsibilities in accordance with the council’s commitment to customer service excellence and ensure compliance with the customer care standards. Carry out duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Council’s Health and Safety Policy and relevant Health and Safety legislation. Carry out responsibilities/duties within the framework of the Council's Dignity for all Policy (Equal Opportunities Policy) at all times. Experience of data analysis, preferably in a local government setting. Experience of presenting information in charts or tables in written reports. Experience of project-based working. Experience of using MS Office applications, including Excel and Word. Experience in data entry, maintaining high levels of accuracy and efficiency. Good verbal and written communication. Ability to perform routine statistical analyses and respond to ad-hoc queries. Ability to quality check routine data reports to ensure accuracy and relevance of outputs. Ability to collect and compile data from various sources. Experience summarising and presenting the results of data analysis. Ability to handle sensitive information and data in a confidential manner. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a member of a team. Ability to adjust own work priorities to assist team colleagues in maintaining service delivery and objectives. Ability to adhere to the Council’s Dignity for All policy. This role will require you to obtain satisfactory completion of a Basic Disclosure and Barring Service check. Additional Information
London Borough of Islington have brought in a ‘FutureWork’ programme, which includes a model of working that can be adapted for different roles. Each role is classified as one of four work styles.
