Data Center Engineer focuses on managing and follow change control procedures for all data centre activities.

What the role involves

• Managing and follow change control procedures for all data centre activities.
• Respond to incidents, troubleshoot issues, and escalate where required.
• Manage IT assets, equipment, and inventory records.
• Supervise and escort third-party vendors working within the data centre.
• Install, relocate, and decommission IT hardware and structured cabling in line with data centre standards.
• Update technical documentation, inventories, and asset records accurately.

Skills and requirements

• Previous experience working in a data centre or similar critical environment.
• Experience with hardware installations, decommissioning, patching, and structured cabling.
• Experience using ticketing or service management systems.
• Flexible to work shift patterns where required.

• Full-time/Permanent.
• £35,000 DOE plus 20% shift allowance.
