This UK-based firm specialises in the design, construction, and operation of data centres. They offer a range of services, including cloud and campus-wide connectivity, colocation, and suites. Job Purpose:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Centre Design Manager to lead the design and delivery of our data centre projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of design, ensuring compliance with technical standards, and delivering innovative solutions that meet client requirements. Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the design process from concept through to completion, ensuring alignment with client objectives and industry standards. Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams, including architects, engineers, and consultants, throughout all RIBA stages. Develop and present strategic design documents, including business cases, technical specifications, and development briefs. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including building codes, health and safety standards, and sustainability practices. Facilitate design review workshops and presentations to stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. Monitor project progress, manage risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely delivery within budget. Maintain a professional network of designers, engineers, and specialists, introducing new consultants as needed. Qualifications:

Accredited bachelor's degree with honours in engineering, technology, or a related field. Proven experience in design management, particularly in data centre or mission-critical environments. Strong general engineering and technical capability, with a solid understanding of systems such as UPS, cooling, and fire detection/suppression. Familiarity with the RIBA design process and experience managing projects through all stages. Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to produce high-quality technical documentation and reports. What We Offer:
