Data Centre Engineer

looking for a challenging and rewarding role in a high-performance environment? Based in Slough, this position offers the chance to work within a cutting-edge data centre facility, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of critical infrastructure. Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance, fault finding, and repair of electrical and mechanical systems within the data centre. Oversee critical systems including HVAC, power distribution, and UPS systems. Monitor building management systems (BMS) to maintain optimal conditions. Ensure adherence to health and safety standards and procedures. Support the implementation of planned preventative maintenance schedules. Respond to and resolve technical issues promptly, minimizing downtime. Collaborate with contractors and third-party service providers as required. Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience in a similar role within a data centre or critical environment. Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including HVAC, UPS, and power distribution. Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds or NVQ in Engineering or equivalent. Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a technical environment. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
