Position: Data Centre Engineer Location: Swindon Employment Type: Permanent Currently recruiting for a leading blue-chip client with a global presence who is looking to hire a Data Centre Engineer to join their expanding team. The role involves a shift pattern including days & nights (4 on 4 off – 12 Hour Shifts). SC Clearance or ability to pass and hold SC Clearance required. Responsibilities:
To receive, respond, resolve and complete service requests and Break/Fix tickets within the agreed SLA timeframe or escalate promptly if they cannot be resolved within an acceptable timely manner. To receive, assess and complete patching/de-patching requests as well as other cable tasks such as installation and running (both copper and fibre) within the agreed SLA timeframe and to applicable internal, manufacture and industry standards. To receive, assess and complete IT equipment installation, relocation and decommission requests within the agreed SLA timeframes and to applicable internal, manufacture and industry standards. Ensure all deployments are installed to applicable internal, manufacture and industry standards. Cabling experience and knowledge (copper & fibre). Solid understanding of the Mechanical/Electrical configuration of a Data Centre. Flexibility to support work activities at other Data Centre locations on occasion. Awareness of relevant ISO accreditation requirements. Seniority Level:
