A bit about the role...

As a Data Engineer at Snap, you'll have a unique opportunity to develop your technical expertise whilst also enhancing your commercial and client-facing skills. You'll have the chance to work with a variety of technologies in analytics, including modern Cloud Data Platforms, BI, and ETL and AI/ML tools. Here's a breakdown of what you'll be doing... Utilising and expanding your core analytics skills across the full analytics spectrum—from data integration and modelling to dashboard creation and data science. Learning and applying new technologies and methodologies as guided by our Delivery Director. Building data pipelines using Matillion. Developing demo content and proof of concepts (PoCs) for use with clients, based on briefs provided by your projects Delivery Lead. Collaborating closely with clients to understand and capture business requirements. Working with various data models, including Kimball and Data Vault. Support in delivering impactful data visualisation solutions for end-users. Raising any issues or challenges with your Development Coach promptly. Providing documentation on new technologies for training other team members. Contributing to the overall team effort and taking on tasks that may go beyond the standard scope of the role.

This role is for you if you have...

To thrive in this role, you should have at least 3 years of experience working with data and hands-on experience in areas such as ETL tools, SQL, data modelling, data warehousing, and cloud data platforms. A 2:1 University degree or above (or equivalent experience) 2+ years of experience with data integration and visualisation tools 2+ years of experience with Matillion and Snowflake (experience with other cloud platforms such as Redshift or Google BigQuery is also valuable) Experience with other ETL tools like Informatica, Fivetran, or dbt is transferable and welcomed 2+ years of experience in data warehousing and database concepts Experience in Kimball dimensional modelling and designing/implementing Kimball star schema data models Strong communication skills The motivation, ambition and determination to succeed An ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment It's useful (not a must) if you have exposure to...
