Ring's Data Science and Engineering Team is looking for an experienced Data Engineer who is passionate about building products and platform capabilities to support our business analysts, data scientists, and other product and tech teams at Ring.

An ideal individual is someone who has deep data engineering skills around ETL, data modeling, database architecture, and big data solutions. You should have strong business judgment, excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Key job responsibilities:

Building/Improving/Maintaining frameworks or tools for internal team and external stakeholder usage to manage data. Build new data ingestions using a combination of Native AWS services and/or internal Amazon tools. Maintaining/Improving existing data ingestions and ensuring they meet evolving standards and corporate mandates. Performing Code Reviews and ensuring best practices are followed for ETL and Data Hygiene by team members and supporting teams. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

1+ years of data engineering experience. Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines. Experience with one or more query languages (e.g., SQL, PL/SQL, DDL, MDX, HiveQL, SparkSQL, Scala). Experience with one or more scripting languages (e.g., Python, KornShell). PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, EMR.
