As a Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing new AI biomarkers for oncology. In this fast-paced, creative environment, you will work alongside software, machine learning, and clinical science teams to build an interactive platform for the creation and delivery of groundbreaking AI tools. Your Responsibilities
Lead data engineering processes from ingestion and validation to persistence and maintenance Define data requirements and validation procedures Process data from various sources to create a curated database Analyze data for sensitive information Build automated pipelines to reduce and complement human-in-the-loop requirements Collaborate closely with machine learning scientists, software engineers, and clinicians to deliver new projects Stay up-to-date with industry trends and standards in healthcare data Your Qualifications
Proficiency in Python, SQL, CSV, and Excel Experience with cloud platforms, databases, and APIs Solid understanding of data formats and file types in data processing Experience working independently and in a team environment Familiarity with git or other version control software Experience gathering requirements, proposing solutions, and managing projects Nice to have:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience in science or engineering Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Experience writing tests for data processing Experience working with sensitive healthcare data Familiarity with modern machine learning and AI methods At GTL, we primarily work remotely, with a strong focus on efficient processes to ensure high-quality work from asynchronous teams.
