We are seeking a talented and motivated Mid-Senior Data Engineer to become an integral part of our expanding Data Infrastructure & Engineering team. In this role, you will take the lead in developing, maintaining, supporting, and integrating our evolving data systems, which form the backbone of our organisation’s analytics and decision-making capabilities. Your work will include designing, coding, testing, and documenting new or enhanced data systems, ensuring they are robust, efficient, and aligned with our business needs. A core aspect of this position will involve creating and managing scalable, secure, and efficient data pipelines and applications to support advanced data analytics and insights. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, identify opportunities for optimisation, and implement innovative solutions to complex data challenges. Every day will bring new and exciting data problems to solve, ranging from ingesting and processing large volumes of diverse data to enhancing system reliability and performance. By continuously improving our data infrastructure and processes, you will play a key role in driving our organization’s analytical capabilities and enabling data-driven decision-making. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled data engineer looking to make a significant impact in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This role is hybrid with 3 days a week at our Shirebrook office. Required Skills and Experience: Experience:

3+ years of hands-on work in data engineering, showcasing your ability to design and manage robust data systems. Expertise in Data Warehousing:

Deep understanding of enterprise data warehousing methodologies, including architecture patterns and best practices. Cloud Proficiency:

Skilled in cloud platforms such as Azure or GCP, with a preference for GCP. Tools of the Trade:

Proven experience with BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks, or Synapse, with BigQuery as the preferred tool. SQL Mastery:

Advanced SQL expertise, including proficiency in writing stored procedures and optimizing complex queries. Database Design:

Solid understanding of database design principles and best practices in data modeling. Soft Skills:

Exceptional communication abilities, creative problem-solving, and a proactive approach to challenges. Resilience:

Capacity to thrive under pressure and confidently take the initiative. Bonus Skills (Not Required, but a Plus): Experience with orchestration tools like Cloud Composer or Airflow. Familiarity with integration services such as Fivetran or similar platforms. Python. What’s next?
