Reporting to the Data Manager – Governance & Quality, the Data Governance Analyst will play a vital role in maximising the value of our data. Outcomes of the Role

Supporting the embedding of all facets of the Data Governance Framework and ensuring that the Group has access to high-quality and trusted information to assess performance, provide insight, and inform decisions. Key Responsibilities:

Participate in the application and deployment of data policies and processes and their continued enforcement. Ensure that data quality guidance and direction is applied throughout the entire data lifecycle. Ensure that all data assets which are subject to the governance processes within the Data office are addressed. Support the development and maintenance of an end-to-end data lifecycle management approach. Responsible for applying data governance framework including the management of data, operating model, data policies and standards as well as the application of clearly defined data management definitions for use across the Data Office. Operate data remediation plans where data fails to meet required standard. Implement and maintain Rathbones’ data catalogue for consumption across the business. Work with stakeholders to understand their needs and manage expectations. Support building the data community to ensure best practice across the Group. Working closely with Information Security and 2LOD Data Protection on the monitoring and reporting of output from security tooling delivered through the outsourcing agreement (Tessian, Exbeam etc). Help the business to become more data mature. Knowledge & Experience

Technical Skills:

Should be familiar with cloud and data management trends, including open-source projects, methodologies, and leading commercial vendors. Familiarity with data management frameworks and principles. Understanding of Master Data Management technology landscape, processes, and design principles. Operational familiarity with the use of meta-data management, data quality, and data stewardship tools and platforms. Analytical Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy, quality, and integrity. Communication and Collaboration:

Excellent communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels. Ability to coach and support colleagues in data roles. Experience in the use of data catalogues and data quality technologies. Experience in managing enterprise data assets in a large, complex organization. Life at Rathbones
